BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour enters its third year in August, 2020. With the joint efforts of teachers, students, staff and parents, we have gradually emerged as a rising star in the field of international education. Because of the pandemic, 2020 was an unprecedented time in the history for us as a boarding school. However, all of us have come together as one and prevailed with perseverance, resilience and determination in times of adversity.

In the year of 2020-2021. we have welcomed a new Head of School, some new teachers, and of course many new students! BIPH now has a total of 121 teaching members, including 71 expatriate teachers who hold degrees in the subjects that they teach. 7 of them hold a doctorate degree, 47 hold a master’s degree and 33 hold a bachelor’s degree. Our teachers graduated from some of the most prestigious universities in the world, including University of Cambridge, Rice University, University of California, Berkeley, etc.

Curriculum in BIPH is the same as that in BASIS Curriculum Schools, which provides the students with a rigorous, accelerated, and advanced curriculum. In addition, we have a group of passionate and caring teachers with outstanding academic background. With the spirit of Humanism and critical thinking, we take STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) as our core curriculum, emphasizes liberal arts and in-depth learning in order to encourage the children to work hard, challenge themselves and surpass the limit.

House system is the core system in our boarding environment. The idea behind the system is to have our students take ownership of their boarding life. Students here are encouraged to speak out for themselves regarding their houses. They are also given the rights to participate in the management of each house.
学院制是华润小径湾贝赛思国际学校特色住宿文化的核心制度。在该制度下，各学院采取以学生为核心的住宿管理理念，鼓励学生为所属学院的发展建言献策、给予学生参与管理学院事务的权利。
BIPH has a highly-qualified dorm management team, which is led by an experienced Boarding Director and 32 dorm parents. All dorm parents hold a bachelor’s degree, and about 50% of them hold a master’s degree. They studied in a variety of fields including education, psychology, biology and etc. Our dorm parents and most faculty members live on campus meaning that our students are able to receive support in the five-day boarding environment.

The Global Excellence Student Scholarship Program is a long-term project for students applying to enter G9 at BIPH. The program accepts applications from students across the world. This scholarship program began in the 2018-2019 school year. Once awarded, students will be exempted from four years of tuition and boarding fees – a total of 1.024.000 RMB (based on 2020-2021 school year tuition and fees) as long as they maintain established school standards. BASIS Global & Ascend International Education Group will award twenty-five 9th grade students each year. Once established, the program will run for twenty years. After four years of immersion in study and guidance given by the highest quality teachers in BIPH Upper School, they will most assuredly achieve competitive results as well as gain critical thinking ability that will allow them to enter top-notch universities in both the United States and around the world.
BASIS Global & 爱圣国际教育集团全球卓越学生奖学金项目是一个具有远见的长期项目，始于2018-2019学年，之后持续开放给每一届华润小径湾校区的G9申请者。奖学金项目面向全球开放申请，学生一经录取并持续四年达到奖学金要求水平，学校将免收其四年学费及住宿费1.024.000元(以2021-2022学年费用为标准) 。学校每年招收25名G9卓越新生。奖学金项目一经设立，持续20年。奖学金学生经过四年BASIS高中课程的浸透性学习和强大师资的指导，他们一定会取得最佳的四年高中成绩并具备独特的批判性思维，顺利进入美国乃至全球顶尖学府。

The Global Excellence Students Scholarship Program was initially established at BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour in the 2018-19 school year. The program was then established in other BASIS schools later on. After the pre-screening, the multi-subject assessment, the debate competition and an interview, these students stood out among others with their superb English language skills, excellent learning abilities and outstanding leadership skills.
全球卓越学生奖学金项目”最初于2018-19学年在华润小径湾贝赛思国际学校成立，随后逐步推广至更多校区。经过资料筛选、多学科笔试、面试和辩论等多轮考核，他们凭借超一流的英语语言能力、优异的核心学科学习能力以及卓越的领导力，从众多申请者中脱颖而出。
Daniel Li, one of the scholarship students, received an EA offer from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Daniel is very talented in mathematics, and he continues to work hard to develop his math skills. He excelled in Math competitions such as AMC12. AIME and USAMO (American Olympic Mathematics Competition). In 2019 and 2020. he was twice invited to join in MOP (Mathematical Olympiad Program, about 60 people). And in the internal competitions, he was selected to join the TST (top 30 students will be selected for IMO).

Kenny Cho won three gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals in the United States Academic Decathlon. Aaron Zhang won two bronze medals. BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour stood out and received the highest total score out of over 200 outstanding schools in China.

Kenny Cho, Jack Xiao and others scored a perfect score in the math contest held by University of Waterloo. BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour stood out among over 650 schools from around the world, ranking first in the world.
